Company
A European company for unmanned systems.
BM Defence & Security AG develops, integrates and produces unmanned systems for air, land, surface, subsea and infrastructure use. We do not build a single device, we build a connected family: thirteen system lines, one command software, one sensor standard, one open interface. The company is a registered German stock corporation with locations in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Mission and vision
Mission. We give Europe unmanned capability that is available, affordable and sovereign.
Vision. A European supplier that delivers across every domain and is seen as a partner by the primes.
Locations
Augsburg region, Germany. Poland and the Czech Republic. One group under one roof, a European supply chain.
Purpose
Europe needs unmanned capability that is available, affordable and sovereign. We build it so that an operator knows where a system comes from, what is inside it and who answers when something has to change. No dependency on a licence from outside the continent to keep a system flying.
What we build
Compact reconnaissance aircraft, counter drone interceptors in two classes, a tracked ground vehicle, an unmanned surface vessel, a portable underwater vehicle, a drone in a box station, a portable ground control station, the command software and an AI sensor payload. The integration kit turns a platform that is already in service into the carrier for all of it. The portfolio is engineered as a system, not a catalogue, which is why the lines fit together instead of merely appearing in the same brochure.
Software
GHOST CORE is the software that runs the whole family, and we build it in house. One codebase across air, land, sea and infrastructure: command, mission planning, datalink, swarm and the AI vision stack. For us software is not an accessory, it is the core. It turns individual devices into a system, it enforces the human decision in every engagement loop, and it is the reason a new line needs no new command system. Whoever owns the software owns the capability.

How we work
We set unit cost from the first drawing, not at the end. We source structure, drives, electronics and optics from a European supply chain. We rely on manufacturing cells that can be duplicated rather than on one large factory. And we enforce the human decision in every engagement loop through the architecture, not through a setting. These are engineering constraints, and they show up in the product.
Sovereignty across the lifecycle
Procurement is a conversation, not a transaction. We build long term capability: acquisition, training, operations, maintenance and upgrades under one contract and one point of responsibility. Where a country wants industrial participation, we transfer production steps and train local staff. Capability that stays in the country is worth more than a delivery that arrives once.
Standards
We design to the standards that decide whether a system can be bought: NATO STANAG 4586 and 4703 for air, STANREC 4818 for ground systems, EMAR 21 requirements, and EU Regulations 2019/945 and 2019/947 for operation in European airspace. The certification status of each system is stated openly.
Dual-use and responsibility
Our systems are dual-use. The same airframe, the same ground station and the same sensor payload serve civil inspection, public safety and defence. They are therefore subject to European and national export control. We assess every inquiry by configuration, recipient and intended use, and we deliver only after the required licences have been granted. See the Export control and compliance page for detail.
Leadership
Serhat Becherer, Co-founder, visionary and Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Serhat Becherer sets the direction. He has founded and scaled several companies and brings more than fifteen years of experience in company building, growth and financing, up to the management of a listed company. He is based in the Augsburg region.
Jocelyn Gaëtan Moreau, Co-founder and Management Board, the technical lead. Joe Moreau owns technology and systems. He spent decades at Airbus and brings deep aerospace engineering experience. As a member of the Management Board he runs the operating business and signs for BM Defence & Security AG.
The company is entered in the commercial register of the Local Court of Augsburg under HRB 43237.
Network
The real strength of this team is in its connections. Across years in company building, capital and technology, the founders have built a solid network in industry, finance and the European defence environment. We know the people who decide programmes, integrate systems and supply the chains, and we reach them directly. That is what turns a portfolio into a capability that finds its way into programmes, supply chains and partnerships quickly, instead of knocking on doors for years.
