Role in the GHOST family
The Q100 is the workhorse of the family. One operator carries it in, flies a thirty minute reconnaissance pattern and packs it away again. It takes the same sensor kit as every other GHOST carrier, and with the GHOST Carrier Kit it rides to the mission area under a larger platform instead of walking in.
Standards and interfaces
Designed to NATO STANAG 4586 for command and control. Encrypted command and video link. Payload interface identical across the GHOST family.
Questions
How much does the GHOST Q100 carry?
The GHOST Q100 carries up to 1.5 kg of payload at a take off mass of 5.5 kg, which covers an EO/IR gimbal or the GHOST AI Vision Kit with onboard detection and tracking.
How long does the Q100 fly?
Thirty minutes in the reconnaissance profile. Batteries are exchanged in the field, so the sensor stays over the area while the aircraft rotates.
Can the Q100 be launched from another platform?
Yes. With the GHOST Carrier Kit the Q100 is carried and released by a larger platform, which puts a short range reconnaissance aircraft over a target that is far from the operator.
