Role in the GHOST family
The QMed is the second line next to the Q100, available from series production today. Mixed fleets are normal: both aircraft answer to the same ground station, take the same sensor kit and appear in the same picture, so a unit can field what is available without changing procedures.
Standards and interfaces
Designed to NATO STANAG 4586 for command and control. Hardening to MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461 in the current build standard.
Questions
What is the difference between the QMed and the Q100?
Both are ISR quadcopters of the five kilogram class with the same payload interface and the same ground station. The QMed is in series production and available now, the Q100 adds a foldable airframe and carrier launch through the GHOST Carrier Kit.
Is the GHOST QMed available now?
Yes. The GHOST QMed is in series production and can be delivered against a programme agreement, including training and the portable ground control station.
Is the QMed an alternative to imported reconnaissance drones?
Yes. The GHOST QMed is designed and built in Europe and is used where imported systems are not acceptable for supply chain or data protection reasons.
