GHOST UUV-100. Seabed security without a crane on deck.
Development programmeThe GHOST UUV-100 is a portable modular underwater vehicle in development for seabed security and mine countermeasures. The ISR configuration is 1.4 metres and around 40 kg so that two people can handle it without a crane, while the mission configuration extends to two metres for side scan sonar, multibeam and magnetometer.

Role in the GHOST family
The UUV-100 closes the family downwards. Undersea cables, pipelines and harbour approaches are checked today by equipment that needs a ship and a crane. The UUV-100 is carried by two people and launched from a small boat or a quay wall.
Standards and interfaces
Inertial navigation with Doppler velocity log and acoustic modem. Mission planning and data evaluation in GHOST CORE, on the same software as the air, land and surface systems.
Questions
What is the GHOST UUV-100 used for?
Seabed security and mine countermeasures: inspecting cables, pipelines and harbour approaches, and searching an area with side scan sonar, multibeam and magnetometer.
Does the UUV-100 need a ship?
No. In the ISR configuration two people handle it without a crane, so it can be launched from a small boat, a quay wall or the deck of the GHOST USV-100.
What sensors does it carry?
Side scan sonar, multibeam and magnetometer in the mission configuration, plus a forward looking sonar and camera in the lighter ISR configuration.
